In recent months, we have formed one national organization that represents the interests of retailers, distributors and vendors. We are happy to share with you some updates on these efforts.
Board of Directors
The current board, made up of retailers and distributors, have been hard at work ensuring the strategic priorities and member programs are going to be met through the formation of the new council. As always, our focus will be on advocacy for our members. We will be concentrating on many areas, including red tape reduction, payroll taxes, food and beverage regulations and plain packaging and vaping laws.
To help guide the organization on these initiatives, we are pleased to announce that Jackie Bellerose, Wallace & Carey, Distributor and Bryan Robinson, Canadian Tire Corporation, Retailer, will be the 2019 CICC Co-Chair’s. To see the full board website, visit our board page here.
New Website
We are excited to announce the launch of our newly designed website. The rebranded website will enhance your experience as a member by providing you information, when you require it, on Advocacy, both at the Federal and Provincial levels, as well as links to our member programs; including the newly launched Responsible Retailing program, ID Please.
National Convenience Industry Summit
Our annual Summit is the premier event on the convenience industry. This year’s event will take place in Toronto, ON September 24-26th at Hotel X Toronto. CICC will be enhancing this year’s event to ensure it is of continued value to you.
