Virtual Mini Summit and Trade Exchange 2020

In early October, from the comfort and safety of our remote offices, CICC hosted its first Virtual Mini Summit and Trade Exchange in place of our usual live National Convenience Industry Summit typically held in the fall.

We understood that, especially in the midst of the pandemic, maintaining established and creating new industry connections are paramount, and that hearing expert commentary on COVID-19’s affects on our industry is invaluable.

Our one-day event featured:

• an industry and association update from CICC President & CEO, Anne Kothawala
• a conversation between Summit tage favourite, Tony Chapman and award-winning cultural anthropologist, Ujwal Arkalgud on how consumer behaviour has changed and how our industry can capitalize on these changes
• our virtualized Trade Exchange
• and, the announcement of our Convenience Innovation Awards winners 

We are proud to have still have brought our industry together for a day of networking and timely content and we look forward to spending more time together in person next year.
